Still Catching Up (again)

The best of resolutions notwithstanding, I've found that other duties and historical postings have been occupying most of my time (it was just one of those years), but in the spirit of new resolutions (not yet in vain, as we're still in the first week of January), I'll try to get things moving by posting more short pieces.
